INTERSOS, in the framework of its activities in Lebanon is selecting candidates for the position of:

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER CPDuty Station: LebanonStarting date: IMMEDIATE

Duties and Resposabilities:Programme:1. Prepare, manage and regularly update the project activities work plan and related financial plan, ensuring timely and quality implementation in compliance with the defined project strategy as well as INTERSOS and donor guidelines. In particular:2. Organize, supervise and monitoring the psychosocial, recreational and NFE to be implemented in the above mentioned centers and through the CSB3. Organize, supervise and monitoring the community awareness activities by facilitating the community participation approach4. Supervise the individual psychological support component and referral to specialized services5. Supervise and coordinate the winterization component (clothes kits or voucher)6. Coordinate with the logistic, administration and finance staffs to procure all equipment, supplies and materials required to implement the project activities, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability in compliance with INTERSOS and donor regulations and procedures;7. Undertake daily field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision as well as regularly monitor the progress of the project activities;8. Continuously assess, analyze and evaluate the impact of the project activities and the needs of the target populations in the project areas, periodically update the situation analysis and inform the programme accordingly;9. Work closely with the colleagues to ensure the integration of the project activities with other sectors;10. Prepare the project narrative and financial reports, according to INTERSOS and donor requirements;11. Support the development, implementation and evaluation of the mission strategy and programme in reference to the Child protection Sector providing inputs and recommendations for new and ongoing interventions in the Country.Human resources:12. Complete the recruitment and selection of the project national staff
13. Train, coordinate and supervise the project national staff Training of the staff to be deployed on the 4 CFSs, 2 YCs and 5 CSBs distributed in five districts and evaluate their performance.Working relationships:14. Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant donor officers, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas;15. Proactively participate in child protection sector as well as relevant inter-sectoral coordination meeting at national, regional and district level. Proactively engage with donors, international NGO and other actors participating at sectorial coordination meetings and/or working in the project locations.

Requirements:- University degree in relevant subject (Law, Social Science or Humanitarian Subjects) with a relevant combination of academic qualifications experience.- At least 4 years of experience in coordination of cooperation projects, including at least 1 year of experience in coordination of emergency projects- Good knowledge in the field of Protection and specifically Child Protection;- Good skills in administration of funds , logistics and human resources;- Previous experience in managing UNICEF funded projects;- Previous experience in working in Middle East.- Proficient knowledge of English. Ability to speak Arabic is an asset.- Mastery of IT tools (MS Office package, internet, email, etc.).- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with analytic approach; ability to integrate and work well within multiethnic and multicultural teams;- Ability to achieve results effectively, considering the need for speed, scale and quality;- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.- Good skills in public relations with institutions, partners and local authorities;- Ability to work in austere and hostile environments.
