Pact is seeking a Campaign Manager for its newly launched Local Solutions Initiative (LSI); a movement designed to bring together a wide range of like-minded organizations dedicated to the advancement of sustainable local development solutions. The LSI will be built upon Pact’s 40-year history of dedication to a world where those who are poor and marginalized exercise their voice, build their own solutions, and take ownership over their future.The LSI Campaign Manager will serve as Pact’s lead implementer, identifying, courting, and persuading other organizations to together promote a locally-focused brand of international development, influencing the industry to adopt its principles.The initial 18-months of this role would focus on building the concept and coalition, followed by the maintenance and expansion of an effective membership alliance.Reporting to Pact’s VP Program Advancement, the Campaign Manager’s main responsibilities would include:• Development and management of all aspects of the LSI campaign• Researching potential partner organizations and how to appeal to their senior management• Collaborating on campaign implementation strategies with Pact staff around the world—including senior management—and a range of external partners• Developing and implementing social media campaigns, as well as seeking out media opportunities; serving as Pact’s primary media contact• Helping organize participation of external organizations and influential individuals in large-scale LSI events• Facilitating fundraising efforts from many sources, including private-sector partners• Regular reporting on campaign progressWe are seeking an individual with proven ability to creatively conceive, execute and manage complex advocacy campaigns including recruiting and engaging collaborative partners from many different sectors. Successful candidates are likely to have strong experience in successfully “pitching” concepts and partnerships through the use of creative outreach and social platforms, as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization. Successful candidates are also likely to have international experience facilitating dynamic and complex group discussions at the highest level of an organization.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in campaign management, preferably in the non-profit sector or political arena and with familiarity with international development funders and implementing agencies.
