Contract Length: 12 months
The role
To manage Save the Children’s response in Lebanon with regards to lead on fundraising efforts, coordination with members, donors, and other actors at national & International level. Under the leadership of Awards Director the person will manage the new business development by closely coordinating with PDQ team for country office strategy, overseeing proposal writing function and playing a key role in relations with donors and SC members. The Senior Funding Coordinator will closely guide the work of the reporting and proposal development officers, supporting their capacity development.
Qualifications and experience
Essentials:
* Development professional with a relevant Masters’ Degree or equivalent professional experience.< /li>
* Significant professional experience in international NGOs, UN or donor agency in both emergency and development contexts, preferably with solid experience in more than one of the Save the Children priority sectors: education, child protection, child rights governance, health and nutrition, food security and livelihoods, or shelter
* Excellent writing/editing skills, budget development skills and presentation/communication skills.
* Experience in presenting project information to donors and partners.
* Experience in leading development of large-scale or strategic proposals, including the development of consortia proposals
* Experience in both development and humanitarian sector preferred.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties.
* Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an internatio nal environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets.
* Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner.
* Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies.
* Fluency in English, both verbal and written, required.
* Commitment to Save the Children values, including willingness to abide by and enforce the Child Safeguarding policy.
Desirable:
* Arabic language skills highly desirable
* Prior experience in Lebanon or the region highly desirable
Prior experience in SCI highly desirable
