Liberia: CHIEF OF PARTY, ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR RURAL ROADS REHABILITATION

Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Chief of Party (COP) candidates for a USAID-funded project in Liberia. The project will provide engineering designs of rural roads, quality assurance of construction standards, and capacity building in road maintenance. The candidate will be based in Monrovia, Liberia.
Responsibilities:The COP will be responsible for managing and coordinating overall implementation of this program. He/she will manage the design team and will be the primary contact between the contractor and USAID and/or Liberian beneficiary representatives from the national or local governments. The COP will also be responsible for the geometric designs of roads, hydraulic and structural designs of the drainage systems, preparation of bidding documents, and prequalification of construction contractors. The position will require some traveling throughout Liberia.
Qualifications:* Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Master’s Degree is preferred* Have at least 15 years of experience managing infrastructure development programs in Africa * Demonstrated experience as a Chief of Party / Team Leader on donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred; * Demonstrated experience in supervising design teams working on feasibility studies and detailed road design;* Have professional experience in Africa countries required* Fluency in written and spoken English required; and* Be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).
