This is a new International position as Traveller’s Clinic Physician Manager reporting to the Chief Physician. The successful candidate will provide International standard Primary Health Care to a wide ranging expatriate and national community on a fee for service basis. There is a well established patient population including International businesses, Embassy, UN and other NGO staff and their families. This is busy Primary Health Care clinic with some tropical medicine. Most clinics are run from the American International School within the Diplomatic Zone. The clinic is fully computerised with links to the icddr,b hospital laboratory.
The Doctor is currently supported by an International Child Health Specialist Nurse and International Physiotherapist as well as 2 National nurses and Administration Officer. This position is also responsible for managing the clinic which includes clinical governance, managing the clinic budget and overseeing other clinic staff.

The successful candidate will be a Primary Care Physician with MBChB/MBBS/MD from an Internationally recognized institution and will have successfully completed post graduate specialisation as General Practitioner/Family Practitioner. A minimum of 2 years post specialization is desirable and some previous experience of Tropical/ Infectious diseases is preferred. Experience and ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment. Fluency in English is essential.
icddr,b offers an internationally competitive remuneration package paid in U.S. dollars. The initial contract appointment is for three years.
