Request for applicants for Agreement for Performance of Work:Construction Manager for WHO New Buildings Complex in Garowe-Puntland, Somalia
- The World Health Organization (WHO), the country office of Somalia through its Representative Office in Nairobi-Kenya is seeking for a qualified Civil/Architect Engineer for 14 months to work as a Resident Construction Manager for the construction of a new WHO buildings complex project in Garowe-Puntland Somalia.
- The required qualification is a university degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with 10 years experience in the integrated projects and infrastructure (civil, architect, elect., mech., A/C, fire alarm & fighting & ITT,…etc.). All the relevant references to be attached with the CVs.
- The Candidate should be fluent in English language, Microsoft Office, project management software, time schedules, quality & cost control familiar with the engineering international standards, rules & specifications, construction documents, has the ability to inspect the contractors’ works, certifying the work, quantity surveying, review the invoices, maintains the daily, weekly and monthly reports and to work closely with the project’s contractor and the local authority.
- The selected engineer will be responsible to ensure that all the works are implemented in accordance with the original design, drawings, specifications and bill of quantity with high quality within the allocated budget and the time schedule.
- The selected engineer shall be working under the overall guidance of WHO’s representative of Somalia and the direct supervision of the Administrative Officer who shall receive the periodical reports and payments’ requests from the engineer.
- WHO reverses the right to cancel this vacancy notice and/or to reject any or all CVs without thereby incurring any liability whatsoever.
- Payment to the selected engineer will be in installments along 14 months but in accordance with the actual progress of work done by the project contractor.
