United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the): Civil Society Programme Officer
The Foundation is seeking to employ an exceptional Programme Officer to develop the Civil Society Programme so it can deliver real support to civil society organisations and practitioners at a time of opportunity and challenge in our target countries. Immediate priorities would be to nurture relationships with current partners, manage existing projects and to identify further ideas, partnerships and guidelines that help the Foundation meet its objectives.
The successful candidate will be a mature, energetic and experienced individual with considerable experience in the civil society sector, preferably in the Arab region. They will be familiar with the charity and academic sector, with grant making and with partners large and small on projects that produce results. They will have plenty of initiative and ideas, and have excellent communication and team-working skills. The ideal candidate would have a strong work ethic and a passion for creating strong and cooperative partnerships that bring communities together for positive common purposes.
