MAG is a humanitarian organisation, working in conflict and former conflict countries to reduce the devastating effects of armed violence and the remnants of conflict for the benefit of local communities. We release land back to the local population, thereby enabling recovery and assisting further development and we tackle poverty by training and employing local staff. We take a community focused approach to our work, maximizing the benefits of our work for local families and workers. Reporting to the Head of Operations at MAG HQ, you will undertake short to medium term field missions to contribute to the management and oversight of MAG programmes and projects. You will provide support to both existing and new Country Directors as well as providing temporary support as Acting Country Director when no permanent post-holder is in place.

You should have a proven track record working overseas on development or humanitarian projects, with experience of financial management, contract compliance, donor liaison, business development and people management.

The post-holder will be based from MAGs headquarters in Manchester, UK but will spend a minimum of 80% of their time travelling to overseas MAG programmes.

French and English language skills are essential for this post.
