NGO JOBS

• Overseeing the project management, review and finalization of concept notes and donor proposals, in coordination with the Program Sector Specialist, and ensuring that proposals are well written and include strong logical content. This requires:

• Excellent command of English language and good editing skills

• Understanding of donor formats for proposals and reports.

• Good understanding of project management and grant management cycle.

• Monitoring and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of donor reports.

• Producing and / or editing accurate and engaging situation reports about Pakistan emergency responses as per the sitrep schedule.

• Support the development of concept notes, project ideas and proposals and ensure their timely submission.

• Coordinate and compile program, financial and other inputs for concept notes, proposals and other relevant planning documents.

• Monitor the database of proposals and grants and tracking information of proposal status, grant status, reporting, financial and other data.

• Produce and edit other information materials, such as fact sheets and program briefs, where necessary

• Developing and updating emergency team management information system as it relates to proposal development, donor reporting and sit-rep preparation (largely a planning and coordination role for information management)

Requirements

• Masters degree in a related field or equivalent

• 2-3 years experience in programme and proposal development and/or reporting in an NGO. 4 years of overall experience particularly in writing and editing high quality communications outputs: high quality project proposals and donor reports, situation reports, fact sheets, briefings.

• Experience in managing large amounts of information, and able to triangulate information quickly.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Excellent command of English language and writing and editing skills is a must.

• Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure, in an emergency response context.

• Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills

• Highly organized and detail oriented, particularly in terms of outputs (for timely submission of proposals, donor reports and sitreps).

• Project Management experience is preferred.

• Able to live and work in a challenging environment, and willingness to travel to all emergency-affected areas (in line with security recommendations)
