The Resource Development Officer, Data & Analytics acts as the data steward of Resource Development by defining the data storage that best meets development officers’ requirement, as well as efficient data and operations processing. S/he takes a lead role in maintaining donor databases as well as International Medical Corps’ private donor and foundation files; performs data importation, queries, and reports; provides support in preparing financial reports on a regular basis; and routine database maintenance. S/he also maintains data integrity by keeping up-to-date data definition dictionary, and by regularly analyzing data quality and compliance to standards.
• Daily usage of Raiser’s Edge, including, but not limited to: •Record updates; •Preparation of mailing lists, e-mail lists, event tracking, etc.; •Query and Export functions; •Database maintenance; and •Data import and universal updates. •Ensures that gift coding is performed consistently and correctly. •Assist in reconciliation of RE database with Finance on a monthly and annual basis as needed; perform trouble-shooting and implement solutions. •Assists in maintenance of hardcopy file system of all donors; •Assists in compiling information necessary for donation reports to other departments as requested;•Develops and publishes queries and reports to track performance to goals for all fundraising channels to inform strategic fundraising direction. Designs dashboard in Raiser’s Edge.
• Streamlines mail merge and other fundraising operations activities by utilizing data and Raiser’s Edge features. • Assists end users on database use, especially query and report, and empower users to become self-sufficient.• Tracks and escalates data and reporting needs for all departments to supervisor. • Assists in finding solutions with existing solution, balancing between business needs, efficiency, and data integrity. • Provides backup for donation processing (lockbox and online) as needed. • Supports other activities within the department, including the development and implementation of fundraising events; and• Other duties as assigned. • Minimum of three years’ relevant development or data experience;• Working knowledge of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred).• Experience with SQL programming or Crystal reports a plus.• Experience with email marketing platform or Google analytics a plus.
• Strong analytical and data management skills• Comfortable with numbers and enthusiastic about using data to reach program efficiency and excellence.• Superb attention to detail a must;• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;• Flexibility to assume a workload that frequently necessitates an adjustment of priorities; and• A commitment to International Medical Corps’ mission and vision
